If there's one thing that is made abundantly clear in that Christmas classic The Holiday it's that Cameron Diaz's character Amanda likes the finer things in life. Amanda flies first class, for a start and forget hoodies and jersey leggings, Amanda's loungewear wardrobe is almost entirely made up of cashmere. She swerves wellies in favour of stiletto heels when it comes to wheeling her suitcase along the country lane that leads to her holiday rental too, all of which suggests that Amanda - a discerning shopper if ever there was one - is likely to have a pretty covetable skincare collection. And she does.
Fast forward to the moment Amanda arrives at Iris' idyllic Surrey cottage and watch as she unpacks her belongings. As Amanda symbolically drops her toothbrush into the empty water glass by the sink, her entire skincare line-up creeps into shot and yes, it's predictably luxurious.

First off we have an extensive Kiehl's contingent. There's a mini of that Kieh's cult classic Creme de Corps, £49.50, a body lotion enriched with hydrating squalane and nourishing cocoa butter, a Kielh's Intensive Treatment and Moisturizer, a product that has since been discontinued but was intended to heal very dry and calloused areas of skin, and a mini version of one of Kielh's scented body washes. Look closely and you'll see an old Chanel skincare buy peeking out from behind another toothbrush glass too. A little light investigating quickly reveals this product to be Chanel's Precision Rectifiance Intense Retexturising Line Correcting Fluid SPF 15, once again, a product that has since been discontinued.
Facing backwards behind the Kiehl's heroes is a Dermalogica skincare buy, one that, considering the shape of the tube and the Dermalogica products that were available at the time The Holiday was released, is likely to be the brand's hero moisturiser Active Moist, £55, an oil-free lightweight face lotion made without artificial fragrances and colours.
Shop those products still available in Amanda's line-up and suggested replacements for those discontinued below:
