Juice Cocktailing
With a week as busy as this, I've needed to eat like a warrior to stay focussed, awake and firing on all cylinders. Meet my new energy booster - juice cocktailing. Often I find a large green (or even a beetroot and ginger juice) a little too much to handle of a morning but this 'juice mixer' approach gives you a bit of everything and makes each much more palatable. Here you can see I've got a carrot and ginger (great for energy) a kale, spinach and apple (great for digestion) and a rather sweet sip of beetroot for maximum antioxidant absorption. A little of each gives you all the goodness you need...
Kendall's White For Now Manicure
I love Kendall, I love white nails. So what's not to love about this picture? All eyes may have been on her sleek, tummy bearing outfit on the front row at this week's Topshop Unique show but I honed in on those killer white nails. A HUGE and very flattering trend for summer, the next generation of white polishes will fly in the face of every preconception. I'm stocking up on Nails Inc's The New Whites collection, which are whites shot with a dash of light colour, (£14.00). Here's what you need to know to get the look...
- Keep nails short and take on a slightly squarer shape than you might usually go for - this keeps it sporty and graphic.
- Base coat is everything - prep properly for a smooth application. Light colours are much less forgiving when it comes to bumps, ridges and a poor paint job.
- Steer clear of shine; tempting as it is to go for a high shine top coat the beauty of this pastel white trend lies in it's almost matte texture. Top coat if you will, just make sure it's matte.
Our New Grazia Beauty Cupboard is...
Very organized. Despite a few reservations about moving homes, our new beauty cupboard is ticking many boxes. Known as product heaven to anyone lucky enough to be allowed in; this is where we keep the latest launches before they make their way into the magazine. You can see here we're all about organizing and trying to keep everything neat in clearly marked, large transparent boxes. The new shelf is where the magic happens though - here we have the space to lay out our edit and see which products sit well together for Beauty Charts. Many a feature idea is born on this shelf, I can tell you.
A Big LFW Shout Out To Sharon Dowsett
Who painstakingly blew the most delicate of glitter particles all over models' faces at the Sophia Webster presentation. The result was breathtakingly beautiful and I can't wait to get Sharon to recreate this look for a Grazia beauty shoot very soon. #watchthisspace...
