We need to talk about Cynthia Erivo's Oscars 2025 manicure. Those in the know could count on three things ahead of the Oscars this year. Firstly that Kylie Jenner and Timothée Chalamet would showcase the mother of all date nights (although they reportedly never walk red carpets together and there's an interesting reason why), second that somewhere along the line, something Kieran Culkin said or did would go viral (it ended up being his acceptance speech for Best Actor In A Supporting Role) and finally that Wicked star Cynthia Erivo would hit the red carpet with a show-stopping set of nails.
That she did. Erivo is famed for making a statement in the manicure department. Remember Erivo's Oscars 2020 nails? A meticulously detailed depiction of Vincent van Gogh's The Starry Night by nail artist to the stars Gina Oh. And then there was Erivo's 3D Met Get Gala manicure last year, a gleaming set of gels made with real flower petals.

This year Erivo turned to 19-year-old trailblazer Mycah Dior (known on the circuit as Clawz By Dior) for her Academy Awards-ready manicure. A medley of looks, each gleaming gold nail shone in a different way. Some were bejewelled, another had a Cartier-look clock face. A suitably Wicked-esque colour theme of emerald green and gold held the manicure together.
Taking to Instagram, Dior wrote, 'Dripping in gold, because it's her time. A gilded mani for The Oscars @cynthiaerivo @theacademy ... I wanted it to look like she had dipped her hands in a treasure box. I DELIVERED.' Need we say more?
