Bella Hadid is no stranger to causing a nail sensation. We all know the French manicure enjoyed the mother of all renaissances this year, and this new age supermodel was one of its biggest advocates. She rocked bright-tipped versions of the look during a summer holiday in Mykonos, and even a nude iteration earlier in the year.
Bella is also well known to favour a flawless nude shade of polish, but her latest mani look took things to the dark side. Kim Truong, Bella's manicurist, shared a picture of the gleaming look on her Instagram page. At first glance you might think that Bella had gone for an all-out black manicure but look a bit closer and you'll see the shade errs more on the brown side of things. And we're not talking any old latte tone, this colour screams 70% deep 'n dark chocolate. The rich kind, the sumptuous kind, the Green and Blacks worthy kind. Yep, we're pretty darned obsessed.
Keen to nail (pun very much intended) the look yourself? Well, as Truong revealed, you'll need not one but two nail colours. She used a nail shade brand called Kiara Sky Nails, and shade Haute Chocolate layered over a coat of Back to Black. You've got to love a bespoke manicure.
It's the sort of shade that goes with absolutely any outfit too, particularly this season when we're delving into our knitwear supplies and wallowing in cosy swathes of grey, black and autumnal hues of wool, cashmere and the like. Add in a dose of Bella's nail length and some on-trend oval shaping, and you have yourself one must-have AW19 nail look.
Keen to sample the manicure for yourself? Pop to the salon and request the darkest brown Shellac or gel shade you can see with a gleaming topcoat, or try out one of these chocolate shades of polish.
