Orange Eye Shadow - An Unlikely Eye Brightener

I struggle to pull off dark eyeshadow and black liner because I have what they call in the business a "heavy lid". It tends to sit heavily on my lids and make my eyes seem a little lazy. However, a visit to make up artist Sharon Dowsett's studio yesterday introduced me to the eye-brightening wonders of orange eyeshadow. The shade I'm wearing here is from the Maybelline Luminous Brown Big Eyes Palette (£6.99), and as you can see makes my skintone look warmer, brightens my eyes and wakes my whole face up. Who knew?

My Own Personalised Fragrance - Bottled

If you're looking for the ultimate indulgence then it gets no better than this: if you stop by Ex Nihilo's Harrods outpost, a team of scent experts will talk you through the process of customising one of their exisiting fragrances to your own preference. It's a fine-tuned process that allows you add fresh bursts, extra warmth or other stand-out notes to your heart's content. Read more here.

A Draw Full Of Dry Shampoo

The one product I can't live without is Batiste Dry Shampoo. It's the lazy girl's answer to styling - I find it gives my very fine hair lots of body and guts even when I've just washed it. I use it less to freshen my hair and prefer to boost body, build texture and get that gorgeous 60s fluffy look which is so on trend for summer. I have even been known to give Coco a quick zhuzh with it! Not all dry shampoos are created equal but this one, in my opinion is the best for long hair. And it brushes out well!

Linda Rodin: A True Beauty Icon

Last week I shared a coffee with the legend that is Linda Rodin. An NY based fashion stylist by trade, Linda is also the founder of cult skincare line Rodin - a personal favourite. An avid lipstick wearer Linda is never without a bold pink, red or orange lipstick and swears that a daily slathering of her Oil Lusso (£105.00) and signature lipstick is the key to looking and feeling young. I'm with her on that. Watch this space for exciting lipstick news from Rodin...
