For pre-fall, Dior took us to the rodeo courtesy of an equestrian-themed show at Domaine de Chantilly. Starring six escaramuzas - that's female Mexican rodeo riders, to the uninitiated - clad in Dior's iconic 999 lipstick and riding white horses, the show was typified by not only cowgirl inspired clothing, but its natural makeup look.
Backstage, Dior's makeup wunderkind Peter Philips whipped up a beauty look appropriate for the peasant-style embroidered tops, riding pants, tulle skirts, flat rubber boots, wide-brimmed hats and buckled belts, which were dubbed #Diorodeo in the show notes. He created a natural base, using the 40 new shades from the Dior Backstage Face and Body Foundation collection, emphasising the cheekbones, while eyes were shimmery in beige and nude. Meanwhile lips were scrubbed and nails were kept neutral in apricot.
Watch our exclusive backstage video below to see just how he created the look.
