We've been fairly obsessed withVanessa Kirby ever since her portrayal of Princess Margaret in the first two seasons of The Crown. Her subsequent involvement in the Mission Impossible franchise and the critically acclaimed Pieces Of A Woman means that Vanessa Kirby has graced a lot of red carpets recently, all of which gave us the chance to see her beauty and make-up game at its best. Needless to say we have not yet - and we're convinced we never will be - disappointed. This year's hotly anticipated Oscars proved to be no exception. Vanessa complemented her stunning outfit and pulled-back hairstyle with glowing skin, full brows, enviably long lashes and an immaculately applied red lip. Make-up artist Jo Baker was in charge of Vanessa's make-up look pre-event and, as if bending to our needs, offered up all the behind-the-scenes action we could have wished for by way of Instagram. If this isn't one of the best glam squad videos around we don't know what is:
Jo also took to Instagram to reveal the rather expensive secret behind Vanessa's luminous Oscars glow. Prepare to get reacquainted with an age-old cult classic!
Jo turned to that skincare classic, La Mer Moisturizing Cream 60ml, £240, to prep the star's skin ahead of applying that camera-ready make-up look. Jo captioned the Instagram post 'Makes sense that I’m using the legendary @lamer for today’s #oscar2021 prep...' indicating that the moisturiser's legendary reputation perfectly matched the legacy of the Oscars. Yes, that little pot of magic is expensive, but you can't deny the radiance of Vanessa Kirby's complexion as she hit the red carpet.

Vanessa Kirby's Make-Up Artist And Her Tricks Of The Trade
Now it's unfair to say that any A-lister has one particular make-up artist on hand at all times. Vanessa Kirby likely has a handful of favourite make-up artists that work with her on sets, pre red carpet appearances and so on, but one make-up artist that is regularly in charge of Vanessa's best red carpet make-up looks is Katey Denno. Katey works with the likes of Vanessa, Felicity Jones, Amanda Seyfried and Gemma Arterton on the daily so she's one sought after individual.
Her Instagram stories provide a glitzy glimpse into the goings on ahead of renowned awards shows and premieres alike. Her skills with a liquid liner are second to none and don't even get us started on those glowing skin skills. When it comes to glowing skin Katey is all about the skin prep. She used Weleda's Almond Soothing Facial Oil, £18.95, to really up Vanessa's skin's radiance ahead of one event.
Katey was on hand as part of Vanessa Kirby's glam squad ahead of the SAG Awards 2021 too and kindly took her Instagram following through her kit:
The standout product for us? Ilia Beauty's Lip Wrap Hydrating Mask, £25. Katey used the products to nourish Vanessa's lips and smooth them ahead of applying her statement lip shade. For us it's a must-have product this spring. What better way to prep our winter-worn lips for a more social spring season as lockdown restrictions begin to ease? We'll certainly be following suit.
