Every five seconds, one Urban Decay Naked eyeshadow palette is sold around the world, and it's not hard to see why. So brilliant is the pigmention, so universally flattering is the range of shades that we can't quite remember how we lived without at least one of the four sets, from the original right through to the game-changing Smokey palette. Even Kate Middleton is reported to be a fan, apparently recommending the Naked palette to former First Lady Michelle Obama.

You'll understand our excitement, then, when we learnt that the ever-inventive beauty brand are set to drop the fifth Naked eyeshadow palette. Named 'Heat,' the new shadow collection features '12 all-new, can't live without amber-hued neutrals - including warm browns, burnt oranges and rich siennas.' These warm, coppery shades are perfect for a summer night and, in the time-honoured Urban Decay fashion, range from easy-to-wear neutrals to bolder, statement hues.

Speaking to Allure, Urban Decay's Chief Creative Officer revealed that the palette was based around one shade, Riff, that was launched as a standalone shadow a few years back. 'I keep making more and more terracotta and orange [shadows] and I keep launching shades that have that amber-toned base to them. Then, I started thinking how these are kind of a new version of nudes. These are like modern, fresh versions of a Naked palette,' she told the magazine.

Hooked already? The palette will be available for an exclusive pre-sale on urbandecay.com on June 12th (if you're signed up to the brand's Beauty Junkie loyalty scheme, that is). The rest of us will have to wait until the official launch on June 30. In the mean time, we'll be booking a holiday...
