Trinny Woodall knows her way around an excellent make-up product. The fashion maven turned beauty brand creator has amassed a legion of fans who rely on her for quick, fuss-free make-up that does what it says on the tin. Consider her eponymous brand, Trinny London, the go to for the time-poor but style-savvy - think dinky pots and chubby pencils that take little more than a hasty blend, dot or blot to make you to feel put-together. And as we tentatively inch our way into summer - it's on the way - it’s this approach to make-up I find myself leaning into more and more. This is why my beauty radar pinged the minute I heard of the brand's latest launch Trinity - described as the ‘ultimate multitasker for lips, cheeks and eyes.’ Where do I sign up?

What does the Trinny London Trinity Multitasker do?

According to Trinny, Trinity is 'all you need to create a harmonious, put-together look.' It's a dual-ended crayon in two shades - one 'glow,' and one 'creamy matte.' Available in three colour ways, both ends can be worn on lips, eyes and cheeks. It's time to experiment.

One reviewer said: 'I am in love with the new trinity. The fact that you can do so much from one item is great. I can be running late and this goes in my back to put on just before I start. Great formula. Not drying on lips. I’m looking forward to trying new combinations. No one day needs to be the same.'

Pros

  • 3 shades
  • Ideal for travelling

Cons

  • Errs on the expensive side

Our verdict

Rachael Martin, beauty editor:

'I’m all about streamlining my routine these days, so being able to drop a handful of products from my bursting-at-the-seams beauty bag feels like a victory. Yep, it’s fair to say this handbag friendly pen had me at hello. Firstly, packaging. This feels luxe. Really luxe. Housed in a shiny silver case with a satisfying click-shut lid, it’s a delight to use. And then there’s the ease of application. I begin with the matte nib - scribble across the eyes, blend out with fingers, scribble across lips, blend out with fingers, scribble across cheeks…you get the picture. It’s refreshingly easy to create a gorgeous, cohesive make-up routine with this creamy, glow-giving crayon. Once I’ve added dimension with the darker shade, I go in with the highlighter to add a touch of radiance to the highest points of my face. It's dewy and balm like, melting into my skin beautifully - there’s no cakiness. And it lasts too, no sliding or slipping. Shade wise - I’ve tried all three combinations. And I’m unable to pick a favourite. New York teams a beautiful golden pink with a dusky rose, Venice marries a rose gold with a dessert brown, while Mustique is a sunset bronze and petal pink. That said, those with lighter skin may sway towards Venice, medium hues may like Mustique while darker skin will be flattered with a dose of New York.

Final thoughts

If you're after some multitasking magic then consider this your new go to. Just a scribble adds a dose of real-skin radiance in seconds. Whether you're topping up post-Pilates or applying on the commute, Trinity is a fool-proof way to bring glow to your cheeks, lips and eyes.
