Ski season is well underway, and while we love nothing more than a ski holiday, there's no denying that mountain weather can be very unpredictable. The conditions you wake up to each morning dictate your clothing choice, but can also play havoc with your beauty routine. But fear not. We have rounded up 10 ski (and just plain cold weather) saviours, from SPFs to skin-saving balms, that we just can’t live without, and shouldn't live without it would seem...

Dr Howard Murad, founder of Murad Skincare has shared with us the importance of looking after your skin in the mountains, and why products with SPF are so important.

'Snow is highly reflective of UV rays and of course there’s the increase in altitude when you’re skiing in the maintains too, so the atmosphere absorbs less UV radiation. Therefore it’s important to use SPF protection as not only is UV radiation more intense but as it reflects off the snow-covered surfaces, you’ll be exposed to almost a double dose of UV.'

If that's anything to go off we say it's time to take a look at our edit...
