Ever since it was confirmed that Rihanna had joined forces with LVMH to create her own make-up line, Fenty Beauty, we've been eagerly anticipating further details. Now, not only do we know where and when we'll be able to buy the range, we've also learned more about the first product that RiRi will be releasing under her new guise of beauty empresario.
Takin to Instagram and Twitter to announce the news, Rihanna shared a black-and-white picture of the Fenty Beauty By Rihanna logo, accompanied with the words "coming fall 2017". Basically, it's coming later this year, and we're oh-so excited to get our hands on the makeup bits, which Rihanna's deemed the 'new generation of beauty'.
Another image posted to the Fenty Beauty Instagram account, features a look from last season's Fenty x Puma catwalk show, captioned: 'This holographic lip colour is set to be the first product released under the long-awaited make-up label Fenty Beauty by Rihanna.'
'This product will be available to purchase at Sephora stores this fall. Stay tuned for more.' In the UK, the range will be available exclusivly at Harvey Nichols.
The brand also previously used Instagram to scout out new talent to join Fenty Beauty's team of make-up artists.
'The search is on to hire a global make-up artist for Fenty Beauty by Rihanna,' as well as an international Fenty Beauty artistry team,' the brand captioned a post detailing their open casting calls, which will be held in New York, Dallas and Los Angeles earlier this year.
'Bring your resumé, online application, headshot and three portfolio images for an on-site audition,' the post continues. Time to start perfecting that eyeliner flick?
Last year, it was confirmed that the range will launch in the autumn of 2017. David Suliteanu, CEO of the Kendo branch of LVMH, said 'Fenty Beauty by Rihanna is a beauty rocket ship that will appeal to a huge and diverse global audience.' Thanks to the beauty chameleon's star power, we're inclined to agree.
Speaking to Refinery29 in 2015, the singer said, 'That is definitely something I am going to have my hands on and would love to do.'
'It’s something that I’ve always wanted to do, but I’ve always had so much on my hands. But, this time, I’m going to make sure it happens. I'm going to find some time between albums and fragrance to do that. I promise.'
It's not the first time that RiRi has made waves in the beauty business, having previously collaborated with make-up giant MAC on the four part RiRi Hearts MAC collection in 2013. She was also the face of the brand's charitable Viva Glam campaign in 2014.
