Fenty Beauty by Rihanna continues to celebrate a hugely successful year with the launch of two new nude lipstick shades, including one that's fast been hailed as the world's first all-inclusive lip colour.
Rihanna’s make up range Fenty Beauty proved to be an instant hit after it first launched in September 2017, with fans hailing the all-inclusive 40-strong foundation range as game-changing, if not something that was long overdue.
Fenty Beauty was created with a vision. Founder Rihanna says: 'It was essential that women everywhere would be included'. After recognising a void in the industry, she focused on a range of traditionally hard to match skin tones, developing formulas that work for all skin types, and pinpointing universal shades. At the time she said: 'Makeup is there for you to have fun with. It should never feel like pressure.’
Cut to September 2018 and the star’s Fenty Beauty Lip Paint has fast become the most inclusive in the cosmetics industry too, with this week’s two new drops dubbed a ‘nude lipstick for black girls’ and the world's first all-inclusive nude.
Rihanna dropped the latest shade of her Fenty beauty Stunna Lip Paint earlier this week, called ‘Unveil’ – a ‘rich chocolate brown that looks good on everybody.’ Models Duckie Thot and Slick Woods were said to be delighted to feature in the campaign, with fans equally grateful to Rihanna for finally bringing a suits-all nude to cosmetics counters.
One fan writes: ‘Never in my life have I been part of the standard or default. Rihanna really did that!!’ while @Petra says: ‘It’s a nude for black girls. I’m deffo getting it.’
Fenty aficionados took to Twitter in their thousands to praise Rihanna for the launch of the second Stunna colour too - called ‘Uncuffed.’
Launched on the Fenty Beauty Instagram account, the brand added a shot of Rihanna and a lighter skinner model to their Instagram, writing: ‘This Lip Paint is our newest nude, in a rosy mauve shade that compliments every skin tone! This soft-matte lip is made for the BO$$ES that love nudes, and those who haven’t tried it yet!’
Rihanna is said to have tested several shades before finding the one nude hue to suit you – and you, and you, and you (you geddit). And if Grazia has learnt anything from Fenty, it’s that Rihanna sure knows her beauty...
