Here at Grazia Towers we are big fans of Radio 1Xtra, always plugging in midweek from 1-4pm for whenever the need for some serious tune-therapy strikes. So, you can imagine how excited we were when we got the chance to snoop inside Radio 1Xtra DJ Sarah Jane Crawford’s makeup bag!

As well as hosting one of our fave midweek music and entertainment radio shows, Sarah also works as the voice of the Official UK Top 40 on MTV and the Official Urban Chart on MTV Base. What’s more, Miss Crawford has recently been signed by Models 1 to their special bookings board. This girl’s certainly going somewhere, we say.

Read on to learn about the beauty booty that Sarah simply can't live without…

Bobbi Brown Shimmer Brick in Bronze, £32

Perfect for adding a sun kissed look to my cheeks (even when it's gloomy outside) This is done if you take the blusher brush across the whole array of colours. But it's also brilliant for doubling as an eye shadow. I particularly love using the lightest colour on its own by taking one finger and applying to my brow, or cheek bone for highlighting.

Rituals Lip Treat, £5

Perfect for after I've washed my face and moisturised in the morning. I apply it to my lips about 10 mins before my lipstick goes on, to give them moisture but without too much grease. It's great because I use a very matte lipstick so I need a good primer. I love its herbal smell!

MAC Studio Fix Fluid in NW40, £20.50

I've used this foundation type for a few years now and for my skin colour it's perfect. I also love its consistency and the matte finish it gives without being too dry. It also allows for as little or as much coverage as you may want, so I find it great for everyday use as well as on-screen work.

Maybelline The Colossal Voulm' Express Mascara, £7.19

For less than a tenner I'm SO impressed with this one, consequently I've bought it countless times. I spend a minute or 2 on each eye and am able to create a look second best only to false lashes. It's also great as a base for falsies too.** **

Chanel Le Vernis Nail Colour in Rouge Noir, £18

I love handing this over to my manicurist at the very end and watching her paint on this classic deep red colour on to my hands and feet. I wear this most of the year round as it seems to go with everything. I only break from it for holidays and the summer months, when I opt for something brighter.

Illamasqua Nail varnish in Collide, £13.50

I love this British brand for when you're trying to get hold of truly vivid colours. This polish looks great against my brown skin. I bought this one recently to get ready for my holidays and for festival makeup. It looks awesome with a tan and it goes on as bright as it looks in the jar after two coats max.

Tom Ford Eye Colour Quad in Cocoa Mirage, £62

I always say this when it comes to expensive fashion and beauty items but this really is an investment. It's long-lasting because the pigments are so deep and it blends across the lid with the other colours like a dream. I use the beige for the lid's base and the deep brown colours for the corners of my eyes.

YSL Touche Eclat No. 3, £25

Old faithful. I have been using this for years as the perfect instrument for highlighting as part of conturing when I'm really making an effort with my face.

Rituals Cheek and Eye Glow in Sunglow Peach, £24

This includes a really pretty pink blush that suits my skin tone as well as a face and brow highlighter and goldy brown eye shadow. So, the perfect combination of colours for my look. Also includes a brilliant face mirror!

MAC Lipstick in Ruby Woo, £14

This is absolutely my signature lip colour! It's such a classic red and makes me feel like Sade when I wear it. It works for me, morning, noon and night and I think it goes well with my dark hair and brown skin. I love that it's so matte and I plan my entire makeup look around it.
