Glossier is a brand unmatched. No matter what it launches, whether make-up or skincare, millennial beauty buffs stand on cue, their pink bubble wrap pouches open, ready to catch whatever's new. In today's case it's eyeshadow, a product that's slowly returning to our make-up bags – and eyelids – post lockdown.
Introducing Monochromes, Glossier's new refillable eyeshadow trio
Teased at The Met Gala earlier this month, eagle eyed Glossier (and TikTok) fans will have noticed it used on tennis star Naomi Osaka and she She Who Can Do No Wrong, Olivia Rodrigo. Now the wait is over and they're available to all, shoppable in the UK.
The brand's first powdered eyeshadow (Lidstar and Skywash liquids came first), each compact features three classic finishes: a rich, pigmented matte for a blendable base, a punchy metallic for a dose of sparkle, and a shimmery satin for a soft and subtle wash.
The times necessitate, thank goodness, that they're refillable, reusable, and recyclable - when you hit pan, simply pop your empty trio out and replace, either with the same colour or something new. Made of tin, they also houses a removable mirror. There are 10 shades all of which sit in a similar earthy and supremely wearable palette. From Clay, a beautiful terracotta that adds definition and depth, to Mist, a cool lilac that makes eyes pop, there's something to suit all skin tones. Formula wise, they're vegan and talc free, and with almost zero fall out, they come pretty high on our hit list.
