Cosmetics brands have long been using some fairly questionable names for their products. Nars, in particular, has raised eyebrows over its'Orgasm' and 'Deep Throat' blushers, both of which also happen to be best-sellers for the brand. Recently, some major brands have turned away from these more explicit names in favour of something more palatable. Nars, however, is leaning in to its love of innuendo, now with the use of a visual aid.

On Instagram, the brand posted a series of videos to advertise its new After Hours range. Each video features a lipstick reverse-melting, so that the end shot is one of the product in its original state. The first shot, however, involves the lipstick looking altogether more phallic. And just in case you thought that was an unfortunate coincidence, Nars wrote a caption for one of its videos advertising a nude shade of lipstick: 'When the nudes keep you up all night. Reach the dawn with Morocco Lipstick, a warm cinnamon. #NARSAFTERHOURS.'

As always, people were keen to share their opinions on Twitter. Some were disgusted, some called for the resignation of the Nars marketing team, while some delighted in all the drama. Chrissy Teigen even tweeted her enthusiasm for the lipstick: 'honestly in love with this color and now I must have it to soften my boner.'

Penis resemblance aside, the new After Hours shades look excellent, so I, for one, will be looking forward to their launch. Sex sells, they say? Clearly I'm buying it.
