If you think you've seen all the beauty hacks TikTok has to offer - think again. In the last couple months alone, we've seen vanilla girl beauty take off and a surge in TikToker's trying out the DIY butterfly cut. And now TikTok influencer, Meredith Duxbury's hands-on foundation routine is now shaking up the world of beauty. The TikToker' unique application method is popping up everywhere and the hashtag 'meredith duxbury foundation challenge' has reeled in a notable 4.7 million views and counting. Creators across the globe are reaching for their foundation bottles to give it a go and here's what's involved.

What is so special about this foundation routine?

Whats the hype you say? Well, Meredith's makeup routine isn't one you'll see an A-list pro trying out anytime soon. She starts by applying a primer (the usual) and then pumps a ton of foundation on the back of her hand - TikTokers emulating Meredith's routine use 10 pumps but we counted 17 in her most recent video. After this, using the tail of a makeup brush Meredith slathers the product onto her face.

She then proceeds to rub all of the foundation in with her hands (and this step is what social media is going crazy about). One user under the TikTok video said: 'It just seems like a waste of money'. Whilst another added: 'I'm so trying this'.

Layers of setting powder, blusher and highlighter later and Meredith's selfie-ready make-up routine is done. There's no denying it's impactful in front of a ring light and an iPhone camera, but does it look as effective IRL? We're still making up our minds.
