You'd be hard pressed finding a beauty buff that hasn't owned (or heard of, at least) the cult favourite MAC shade, Velvet Teddy. For beauty obsessed millennials in the 2010s, owning the lipstick was a rite of passage. If you're yet to try the Powder Kiss range, consider this your sign. While Velvet Teddy is MAC's original matte formula, Powder Kiss is a far more powdery matte. It feels, ahem, velvety on the lips, and lends intense colour in one sweep. The Powder Kiss formula is more of a flat matte; the original Matte formula is more far luminous. As for the colour difference, Teddy 2.0 is markedly warmer and veers more into the beige side of nude, rather than pink (where Velvet Teddy sits).
