It was a big week for The Summer I Turned Pretty stans as the third and final season of Amazon Prime's hit coming-of-age series drew to a close, only to be met with news of a film instalment in the works – that's one way to keep the teen angst-fuelled emotional rollercoaster going. But that wasn't the only thing on the agenda for the season finale premiere in Paris last week. Lola Tung took to the red carpet with her long, layered hair, à la young Belly from season one, very much still intact (that breaking news-worthy bob was a loaded plot ruse for the final episode, of course). And that's not all, if you've ever wondered how to get that signature soft-girl glow that Belly exudes, her make-up artist just dropped everything you need to know.

Taking to Instagram after the premiere, celebrity make-up artist MishaShahzada - who is responsible for creating a flurry of Tung's best beauty looks - revealed all the key products she used to achieve the star's red carpet glam. Among them were a pair of always trendy Chanel eye patches, staples from US-based brand Tilt, and essentials from British cult-favourite brand UKLash.

Shahzada revealed that Tung had not only used UKLash for the premiere itself, but also in the run up to the event as a means to achieve her go-to sultry eye look and glowy skin. 'I began by prepping Lola’s skin with the UKSkin LED Dual Light Pro-Therapy Face Mask, £199, which worked to stimulate elasticity, enhance circulation, and promote a more even skin tone. To give her lashes a head start, I applied the nourishing UKLash Eyelash Serum, £38, along the lash line before curling them for lift with the UKLash Eyelash Curler, £11. Once the UKLash Lengthening Mascara, £12, was applied to give super length and some volume, I carefully combed through with the UKLash Lash Separator, £8, to eliminate any clumps and ensure each lash remained defined, fluffy, and perfectly fanned out,' Shahzada explains.

Belly may have taken the show cross-continental with her move to Paris in season three, but her investment in UKLash proves her taste for beauty is closer to home. Are we surprised? Absolutely not. Founded in 2018 by Nima Pourian, the British brand has proved to be a breakout success. In fact, one UKLash product sells every 20 seconds worldwide and over one million products have sold globally to date. There's a lot of buzz around its hero product, the UKLash Eyelash Serum, £38, which has made UKLash the most searched for lash serum brand, according to UKLash, plus the product itself is the number one bestselling lash serum across Sephora, Boots, Selfridges, and Harrods. The hype is only helped by the fact that the serum has made its way around celebrity circuits, too. The likes of Sophie Habboo, Millie Court, Lisa Snowdon, Grace Jackson and now Lola Tung have all confessed their love for it.

Shop: UKLash Eyelash Serum

Loved by a flurry of A-listers including Sophie Habboo, Millie Court, Lisa Snowdon, Grace Jackson and most recently Lola Tung, this cult-favourite lash serum has been crowned the number one bestselling lash serum across Sephora, Boots, Selfridges, and Harrods. And it's got the satistics to prove why. 98% of customers saw longer lashes in just 12 weeks of using the eyelash serum, with an increase of over 55% in eyelash length, and 75% increase in volume.

Sameeha Shaikh, beauty writer, says: 'I've used a fair share of eyelash serums and, traditionally speaking, the ones that work best come equipped with a hefty price tag. Given the more affordable cost of the UKLash Eyelash Serum, I kept my expectations low but it absolutely proved me wrong. This serum is plain evidence that you don't need to spend a small fortune to expect real results from your beauty essentials. But a fair warning, consistency really is key when using it. With regular and regimented application my lashes soon went from dreary to fluttery, and I even skipped mascara at the peak of my lash growth.'

Pros

  • More affordable than other serums
  • Bestselling lash serum
  • Impressive user results

Cons

  • Requires consistency to see results
