We hopped across the Channel to hang out with Grazia France’s beauty editor, Gabrielle Stérin, to chat about the launch of Bourjois’ new City Radiance Foundation and Radiance Reveal Concealer. We wanted to find out just what it’s like working for a fashion mag in one of the most stylish cities in the world, Paris.

As a beauty writer at Grazia France, Gabrielle’s days are very busy and varied. She spends a lot of her time dashing across the city from meeting to meeting, grabbing a coffee from Café Marlette en route, of course, so we asked her about her routine for a busy life in the city.

Gabrielle walks to work through the city every morning, and walks around the city between meetings and interviews as much as she can. We’re totally jealous of this one. Imagine being able to wander around Paris for your job? We’re not sure we could handle the lure of macarons and our bank balances certainly couldn’t handle the temptation of shopping, especially feasting our eyes on amazing Parisian street style all day.

Between meetings Gabrielle checks her emails on her phone, and catches up with as much as she can from the office whilst she’s out and about. Being in the city, with your skin exposed to all manner of pollution, it’s important to wear a foundation with an anti pollution screen. Bourjois’ new City Radiance Foundation is perfect for this. It bridges the gap between skin care and make up and innovatively protects your skin from any nasties whilst you’re out and about.

Being a beauty editor, it’s important that Gabrielle’s make up always looks great. If her make-up needs a freshen-up during the day? A dab of silky-soft Radiance Reveal Concealer, in all the right places leaves her good to go in seconds.

At night, Gabrielle often has to go to product launches or parties at some of Paris’ chicest hot spots. We’re still jealous. A quick swipe of Bourjois Soufflé De Velvet Matte Lip Colour takes her make up look from desk to bar in just a few seconds. Voila!

We couldn’t let Gabrielle go without asking her top tips for applying foundation to achieve that flawless Parisian look…

“Always pick foundations incorporating shields that protect skin against UV rays, pollution and other environmental aggressors. Test new shades on the jawline, NOT on the inside of the wrist or back of the hand, as the skin here is of a different texture and colour. Also, remember your skin colour changes from season to season, so you may need to switch shades. When applying your foundation, start with a small 10p-sized amount on the back of your hand and work from the centre of your face outwards."
