Turns out, the queen of glam (she exercises in a corset and full makeup, for one) has a pretty low-key approach to cleansing. That's right, Kim Kardashian doesn't go for an eight-step regime involving purified Fijian water, crushed ruby scrub and 1,000 count flannel towelettes - oh no, she quite likes a makeup wipe. In a story for Harper's Bazaar US, Kim detailed every minute of her day, and told them "****I always put my hair up and use makeup wipes to wash my face off, and I apply facial oil or moisturizer before bed."
While you may be reeling from the fact that Kim doesn't have someone to do this for her, Kim's preference for a makeup wipe over deep cleansing actually makes her more like regular women. Few of us have the time or inclination for deep scrubbing and cleansing every night, and let's face it, makeup wipes are both speedy and practical. While the jury's out on their kindess to skin - many dermatologists believe they don't really cleanse the skin of both makeup and oil, and can be abrasive to the delicate eye area.
Wipes may be quick, but we'd recommend you keep them for the two Fs: flights and festivals. Perfect for travelling or anytime you might not have access to a sink, a wipe'll do the job. But for everyday use, we're sticking to our guns and recommending another kind of cleansing, be it balm and muslin cloth, gel and a facial cleansing device (we love the Foreo Luna) or just old fashioned cleanser and a flannel to put the love back into your skin.
