Not much gets past an avid Succession viewer. Whether it's a glimpse of a well-known face cream in a Roy sibling's bathroom cabinet - of course Kendall (Jeremy Strong) uses Augustinus Bader - exact match outfit spots from Season 4, or even the subtle signs that Roman Roy might have a secret child, you can bet the show's dedicated audience will pick up on it.

It comes as no surprise, therefore, that Twitter users were quick to zoom in on the various products that skittered across the expensive floors of the late Logan Roy's (Brian Cox) home when Kerry (Zoë Winters) broke down in front of Marcia (Hiam Abbass). Kerry's dithering attempt to get past Marcia to retrieve her belongings resulted in a showdown between Logan's estranged wife and recent lover.

The family's security detail was instructed by Marcia to fetch Kerry's bag - the items had already been set aside. Tearful and frantic in front of Marcia's power play, Kerry fumbled before dropping the bag and wept as Roman - in an uncharacteristic display of empathy - helped her scoop it all back up.

It was all over in a matter of seconds, but eagle-eyed viewers hit pause. Taking to Twitter, journalist Rachel Syme wrote, 'the set designer who stuffed Kerry's bag with Hum Vitamins, a tub of Laura Mercier powder, and a (now broken) Fenty Compact as if she recently used Logan's credit card during a Sephora [...] spree ins't being paid enough.'

As for the hidden meaning in those products, the overarching theme is modesty. Previous seasons have depicted Marcia as having expensive taste. In the first episode of Season 4, Greg asks why Marcia isn't at Logan's birthday party. He asks Kerry where she is. Kerry replies, 'In Milan shopping. Forever.' Viewers envisioned Marcia sashaying through Milan's designer fashion district, behind a pair of bug-eye Dolce & Gabbana sunglasses perhaps, saying 'I'll have that' to couture, interior design statement pieces and so-on. As for Kerry? A few cult beauty classics off the rack - ahem, shelf. Surely it's a strategic move by producers to endear this clearly distraught wannabe news anchor to the Succession audience. She's one of us, be kind, this humble assortment of beauty products appears to say.
