She has to, it's part of the long adhered to etiquette of being a member of the royal family. From what we've gleaned so far, more than a decade on from the royal wedding that changed her life forever, the Duchess of Cambridge is strikingly, well, normal, in her approach to beauty. Sure, not every product comes in at under a tenner like the Nivea that set tongues wagging, but none of her reported favourites tip £100, and for a woman who has access, be it through funds or connections, to the most expensive skincare, make-up and haircare products in the world, that's saying something.

So, if you're in the market for a Duchess-approved beauty buy or two, get scrolling and browse ten of her reported favourites, from the tinted moisturiser she was seen purchasing in Chelsea's Peter Jones department store to the sun lotion that Princess Grace of Monaco adored too.

The Duchess has been famed for her long, glossy, brunette hair since she first stepped onto the royal scene during her St Andrews days and the global obsession has never waned. Genetics have the biggest hand in the thickness and condition of Kate's hair, there's no denying that, but that's not to say that trying out a reportedly Kate-approved hair buy or two couldn't stand to up your hair's shine to Duchess-worthy levels.

Kérastase Nutritive Lait Vital Conditioner, £22

The key benefit of this buy - reportedly the Duchess' favourite conditioner - is that it manages to nourish your hair with a number of lipids and proteins - these work in tandem to boost softness - all without weighing your hair down. The Duchess of Cambridge's hair is usually full of movement and that is likely down to a shampoo and conditioner - such as her rumoured favourites - that leave her hair free from product residue and build-up.
