Jourdan Dunn’s New Blue ‘Do And Other Coachella Beauty Wonders

Festivals are a free pass to try that one trend you've always loved, but deemed 'too outlandish' for everyday wear. Face gems? The more the merrier. A flower crown? Why not. At a festival, you can tap into your inner flower child/club kid/woodland nymph and actually blend in for once, which why the A List use it as an excuse to really have some fun with their look. Anything goes at Coachella, and one person who's embracing that freedom is Brit babe Jourdan Dunn, who debuted new pastel blue tresses especially for the music and art bonanza.

Clipping in some extensions to add length to her blunt bob, Jourdan plumped for a cool hue that's totally covetable. Blue makes it quirky and fun, but the soft pastel hue stops it being over the top (an expression we never thought we'd use in relation to Coachella, where full-body fake tattoos are de rigeur). And, with a soft ombre effect, Jourdan steers clear of Smurfette territory. It's sassy, it's fun and we really hope she keeps it - it's one heck of a good look on her.

Jourdan’s already been working her ‘do a few different ways – with extra-long lengths for a mermaid look, and wrapped with printed headscarves for a luxe boho vibe. Her choice of colour proves that pastels are the hottest new shades when it comes hair – the candy hued models we saw at Louis Vuitton’s Spring/Summer ’15 show started a sweet revolution. A sprinkling of pastel pink babes strutted their stuff down the catwalk, showing that sorbet shades for spring don’t need to just be for your new gear.
