Jones Road Miracle Balm has reached cult status. Considered the crème de la crème of blush by beauty editors, it's little wonder it sold out as soon as it was launched by renowned make-up artist Bobbi Brown in 2020. Thought to be adored by celebrities such as Megan Markle and Cindy Crawford, the rich, balmy formula is known for its ability to impart a sheer wash of colour across cheeks and lips - there's a reason why it has millions (quite literally) of views on TikTok.

What does Jones Road's Miracle Balm do?

In short? A lot. While it's first and foremost a cheek product, it's the ultimate multi-tasker too. Depending on which of the 13 shades you choose, it can act as a moisturising all-over tint, a dewy bronze, a shimmering highlight or a colourless pop of gloss. All with minimal effort, of course. If the idea of natural, clean, your-face- but-fresher make-up appeals, then Miracle Balm could be just the ticket.

How to use Jones Road Miracle Balm

Bobbi Brown says: 'Break the top surface of the balm with your index finger first, and then warm it up to soften the formula. Apply balm using your fingertips, palms, a brush, or a sponge onto cheeks, lips, eyelids, or anywhere you want to tint or glow.'

Our Verdicts

Cassie Steer, acting beauty director wears "Miami Beach"

'For those that worship at the alter of glow, this gloss/blush lovechild is for you. I opted for the Miami Beach shade which is the exact type of beautiful pink/coral I try to wear year-round - especially in winter when my skin needs a bit of a lift. I applied to the high points of my cheeks using my fingertips and loved how it lent an immediate dewy warmth which belied the fact that my skin is currently tired and parched but, I did feel hyper-aware that I was wearing it. The glossy texture gives a punchy pop of shine which looks amazing in pictures but I felt like my hair might get stuck in it if I ventured out into the wind. Once patted in a bit more though it has essentially become my new favourite complexion-enhancer.'

Rachael Martin, beauty editor wears "Pinky Bronze"

'Pinky Bronze is my tan-meets-blush dream. After 'breaking the seal' so to speak, I find it refreshingly easy to apply - I'll just take a fluffy blush and swirl the smallest amount across the apples of my cheeks and up into my temples. The texture is light and silky (albeit slightly greasy) and the colour pay-off is beautifully sheer and subtle - think a natural, sun-kissed flush. I have combination skin, so sweeping this across my whole complexion wouldn't be an option - while it sits beautifully on my cheeks and lips, I don't think those prone to excess oil would benefit from going overboard here. Less is more.'

Sameeha Shaikh, beauty writer wears "Flush"

'I was admittedly reluctant to try this well-loved staple from the legend that is Bobbi Brown (I know, how dare I?), but the thought of its thick, balmy, texture which is very much akin to Vaseline never appealed to my combination, textured skin. That is, until I found the right shade and application method. I've fallen for Flush; a vibrant pink which becomes more subdued (or demure) as you massage it into the skin. It helped to perk up my complexion instantly without overpowering. As for application, once you 'break the seal' as Brown instructs, I deposit some of the product on the back of my hand before warming it up and applying it with my fingertips to the high points of my face for a natural-looking, believable glow. I find a light touch makes the balm way more approachable. Thank me later.'

Renee Washington, beauty assistant wears "Tawny"

'I wasn’t particularly drawn to this product at first. My initial reaction was, ‘What’s the point?’ But it turns out, the goal is to give your skin a natural, dewy glow. The texture is buttery smooth, keeping your skin hydrated throughout the day. While I'm not typically one for the dewy, sun-kissed look, I can see why it would be a go-to for some, especially during the summer for that fresh, no-makeup makeup vibe. You can apply it to your cheeks, nose, and lips, making it a versatile three-in-one product. My main issue, though, is the scent—it has a plasticky smell that reminds me of kids makeup or play-dough.'
