From the silky G1 to a translucent G11 (perfect for the ‘pale and interesting’ aesthetic if, like me you are using this until June as an excuse not to fake tan) the new shades are a Quality-Street tin of beauty product delights. The Perfecting Skin Tint and Stretch Concealer have gone from 5 to 12 shades while the Wowder now has 5 shades with the addition of 2 extra options.
The decision to expand the range marks an important step for Glossier as they follow in the footsteps of major beauty brands like Fenty (who released the Pro-filt'r Concealer in fifty shades earlier this January) that are stepping up to the demand to cater to a wider range of skin tones and complexions for their customers in their product line-ups.
Kym Davis, Glossier's Head of Product Development told MarieClaire.com: 'While the sheer coverage of our formulas makes them more flexible than traditional complexion products, we knew that there were gaps that needed to be filled, after over a year and half of research, testing, and development, we’re excited to offer our customers a more balanced and comprehensive selection of shades designed to stretch across a wide range of skin tones.'
