If your idea of a perfect Sunday morning involves strolling down to your local flower market, you’ll be pretty chuffed with the latest beauty craze on the SS'17 catwalks.

Introducing: face flowers.

While designers re-working the floral trend for spring may not seem groundbreaking, Preen by Thornton Bregazzi designers took flower power to a whole new level at London Fashion week, with models adorning forget-me-nots and daisies on their cheeks, lips, necks and chests.

The whimsical make-up look is easier to recreate at home than you think. According to Allure, makeup maestro Val Garland prepped the skin with tons of moisturiser before using eye-lash glue to apply the pressed flowers onto the models' faces.

Impractical for the office? Perhaps. Beautiful? Most definitely.

And it’s not the first time foliage got facetime at Fashion Week. Rosie Assouline's models wore tiny petals at the corners of their eyes (a subtle, I-just-woke-up-like-this nod to the naturist look).

While flower crowns may have reigned supreme on the festival circuit, we can’t wait to try out face flowers next season. Secret Garden Party accessories, sorted.
