If you’re partial to a bit of luxury and history AND French haute couture, you’ll definitely love the news that French luxury house Dior has restored ‘La Chateau de La Colle Noire’, the luxurious holiday home (yes, THE actual home ) of legendary French designer Christian Dior, and in doing so realised the dreams of Monsieur Dior, who it has been said, would often holiday there after the rush and excitement of presenting his fashion collections.

Set in Grasse, a charming town off the idyllic French Riviera in the south of France, it was said to have held a special significance to Dior himself since childhood, often being the inspiration for the iconic notes in the brand’s highly acclaimed perfume formulations such as Miss Dior and J’adore L’or.

Rightly so, Grasse is now considered to be the centre of the perfume world with its abundance of the finest olfactory ingredients in the world, such as Jasmine and Rose, which grow perfectly in the location’s unique climate.

Now with the brand establishing Francois Demachy’s creative laboratory in the centre of the region, we’re certain that the rich history between Dior and this special house will only continue to grow and grow!
