Charlotte Tilbury – founder and makeup artist to the A-List including Amal Clooney and Sienna Miller- has won a legal case against retailer Aldi after they started selling a replica of her famous Filmstar Bronze and Glow palette (£69) for £6.99.
Aldi's palette was named Lacura Broadway Shape and Glow and incorporated the same "Sculpt" and "Highlight" concept.
According to Mirror Online, a high court judge ruled that there were "substantial" similarities between Tilbury's copyrighted packaging, including her popular diamond and starburst ray effect logo.
It was also reported that Aldi's version was so popular that it hit £13million in sales of them in six months, so it means Charlotte could receive some hefty damages. Not that she needs them, though, it's been reported that she sells two of her cult Pillowtalk nude lipsticks every two minutes. However, we have a feeling that this dispute had nothing to do with money...
Aldi responded to the reports and told the publication that the case between Charlotte has now been resolved.
"This relates to a product on sale for a very short period in December 2018. The dispute has been fully resolved," they said.
