Pat McGrath Labshave just announced a Bridgerton collaboration and - cue a little Bridgerton-centric paraphrasing - it's the talk of the town. It has been almost a year since Bridgerton first hit our screens and plunged us into world of Duke-of-Hastings-related memes and Regency-tinted fashion revivals. Bridgerton was watched by a record 82 million households within the first month of its release, the world was hooked. Even the famously busy schedule of one Pat McGrath, it turns out, allowed for some Bridgerton viewing.
Like so many people, I fell in love at first swoon with Bridgerton
'Like so many people, I fell in love at first swoon with Bridgerton,' explains McGrath, who, on 26th December - almost a year to the day that_Bridgerton_first dropped on Netflix - will launch collaboration with_Bridgerton_via her eponymous make-up line. 'I created a limited edition cosmetic collection inspired by the romance and searing passion that we saw in Season 1,' says McGrath, 'I have always been obsessed with Regency beauty and was thrilled to interpret the era with a modern homage via the new MTHRSHP Eye Palette, Divine Blush + Glow Trio and Highlighters in covetable, collectable packaging.'
'Pat McGrath has pushed the luxe modernity of Bridgerton beyond the screen with this collaboration and we are excited to share it with the world. She is an icon and a global force in the beauty and fashion industry and shares a creative passion for projects that evoke emotion, making her a perfect partner as we expand the Bridgerton world. Pat’s dedication to accessibility for all skin tones in addition to high-caliber products is unmatched, making this collection a must-have for the Bridgerton audience and Pat McGrath Labs consumers alike.' - Sandie Bailey, Shondaland’s Chief Design and Digital Media Officer.

The collection boasts a Divine Blush & Glow Trio in Love At First Blush, two Skin Fetish Sublime Skin Highlighters in Xtreme Gold (an all-out 24 carat yellow take on gold) and Incandescent Gold (an ethereal, silver take on gold) and a MTHRSHP palette called Diamond of the First Water. McGrath has chosen a selection of eye shadow shades that range from a light, iridescent blue - perhaps representative of the pale blue dresses that Phoebe Dynevor wore as Daphne Bridgerton in so many key Bridgerton moments - to metallic shades of rose gold, a soft, matte plum shade and two statement shades of berry-level pink. The McGrath Muses
The Bridgerton x Pat McGrath Labs make-up collection welcomes two new celebrity 'McGrath Muses': Reese Witherspoon's daughter Ava Phillippe and model and new girlfriend of Kanye West, Venetria. Both appear in the latest Pat McGrath Labs campaign swathed in luxe, Regency-worthy fabrics and tiaras, and both - predictably - sport killer make-up looks. Ava also debuts an eye-catching hair colour revamp. The rose gold looks marks a real departure from the light blonde lengths that usually seal the similarity between her and her mother. Previous 'McGrath Muses' include the likes of Cardi B, Naomi Campbell and Damian Hurley. Not a shabby line-up.
