Proving that she’s just like us, Beyoncé chose to wear Glossier to the Grammys this weekend, even debuting a new product on her eyes that hasn’t been released (or even named!) yet.

Her makeup artist, Sir John, explained that Beyoncé’s look was inspired by the Black Panthers, describing it as ‘rebellion’. ‘We wanted to make a major impact on Grammys night,’ he said. ‘She is wearing a large hat, sunglasses and strong hair so I wanted the makeup to complement that.’

Starting with her complexion, Sir John used a mix of Glossier Perfecting Skin Tint in Dark and Deep and Skin Tint in Rich to contour, before blending Cloud Paint in Beam and Haze. Next up, he used our personal favourite product, Boy Brow, in brown, before using the new eye product to complete a smoky eye look.

Dressed in a black velvet Nicolas Jebran dress with thigh-high slits and crystal embellishment, accessorised with an oversized hat, sunglasses and diamond earrings, Beyonce’s look as one of the major talking points of the night. Indeed, Jebran revealed that it took over 100 hours to make.

Another key takeaway from the Knowles family was the moment that Beyonce and Jay-Z’s five-year-old daughter Blue Ivy ‘shhh-ed’ them while they were applauding, proving that everyone is embarrassed of their parents, even if they are Beyoncé. Its meme-status is guaranteed.
