Search the hashtag #makeup on TikTok and you'll see it's racked up a jaw-dropping 59.1 billion views and counting, with #makeuptutorial hopping in at 8.9 billion views. It's clear that TikTok is a serious beauty destination. Siobhan McCarthy, beauty brand MUA's Marketing Director, comments, 'This year is definitely the year of virtual beauty, so far anyway!' According to Siobhan there's a particular aesthetic associated with TikTok beauty too, and that's been reflected in spikes in sales of particular products this year.
