Now summer is over and it's becoming more and more difficult to deny that autumn has well and truly enveloped us, we need to dig out the bronzer and put that healthy glow back into our skin.
In recent years there has been a lot of hype around makeup trends like contouring, strobing and baking, leaving bronzing to take something of a backseat. But it's time for golden, glowy, tan-tastic bronzers to take a step forward into the limelight again and reclaim that space in our makeup bag. But what is the best bronzer for your skin?
What is the best bronzer for pale skin?
When you have pale skin it can be tricky to gauge what the right shade of bronzer is to help you achieve that naturally sun-kissed look, without looking as if you've loaded an abundance of bronzer on...

Most bronzers have at least two shade options to choose from, but if you're pale even the lighter of the two can still be over-kill.

If you're fair-skinned you may find that you get the best results using a bronzer and highlighter combo palette or a bronzer with a reddish tint, or even a BB cream. This way you can blend and control the pigmentation of the bronzer, and work it up to achieve your desired look.
You can also achieve a bronzed shade that looks naturally flushed and healthy, with a bronzer and blusher combo palette.
What is the best bronzer for dark skin?

If you have a darker skin tone or a more olive complexion you can still achieve great results with bronzer. There isn't anywhere that states bronzer must darken areas of your face, so instead why don't you experiment in using bronzer to brighten, add shimmer or add warmth to the face.
How do you apply bronzer?
Different products require different application processes. The general rule, though, is to apply the bronzer with a bronzing brush along the cheekbones, down the bridge of your nose and around your hair line - anywhere that the sun would naturally hit to recreate that natural sun-kissed glow.
If you're using a cream bronzer product, apply it to the area with your fingers and then blend with a brush to get the most natural effect.
