Over the past few years contouring has become one of beauty’s biggest buzz words (you can blame/thank the Kardashian’s for adding an extra step to your make-up routine). And for good reason, the effects of a subtle amount of sculpting and shading can enhance your best features and balance out those you’re not so fond of. This cream-based contouring and highlighting duo is one of the best we’ve found (and we’ve tested a LOT)…
Face, meet Tom Ford’s Shade and Illuminate Palette - the product you should invest in to give you cheekbones you never knew you had. We say invest as £56 is fairly steep for a make-up product, but what it takes out of your bank it more than pays back for with the flurry of complements that will follow once you own it.
What makes this palette stands out against its counterparts is the ultra-light cream formula that has a slightly wet finish on application (which makes it all the more blendable), the bronze half of the duo gives a pure, flat pigment with no glitter or shimmer (a rarity), and the highlighting cream practically dissolves into your skin without a trace and gives you the healthiest, most natural looking glow.
Grazia Daily Verdict: a true hero product on all accounts, however it does take some getting used to so give yourself time to play around with it before attempting to use it as part of your 5 minute rush-out-the-door work make-up. When mastered, the results are wondrous.
