It’s September, and just like that, summer seems well and truly over. But amid the grim weather we’re currently enduring comes the promise of cosy season. Pumpkin spice lattes! Movie marathons! Plaid scarves! If it’s a cliché? You’d better believe I'll be doing it. One of the greatest joys of autumn has to be picking out a beauty advent calendar. Gone are the days when you could order one in the last week of November. Oh no. Since late August, it’s been a mad scramble to join waitlists in the hope of getting your hands on the very best.
So far, I'm making a beeline for the Liz Earle Advent Calendar, the Liberty London Advent Calendar, and the Sephora Advent Calendar - all of which show signs that they will sell out. Another strong contender? The ASOS advent calendar, which is both expertly curated and brilliant value for money.
And luckily for me, I managed to get my hands on it.

Is the ASOS Face + Body Advent Calendar 2025 worth it?
Rachael Martin, beauty director says:
'The short answer? Yes. Absolutely. Firstly, the value for money here is excellent. For only £98 you'll get an impressive £406 worth of products. There's 26 in total, 15 of which are full size.
There's a refreshing mix of brands in there too, from high-end to budget, meaning there's something that will appeal to all tastes should you wish to dish some out as stocking fillers. Some stand outs for me include Mac's iconic lipstick in Cool Teddy (an autumnal, rose-toned dream) and Charlotte Tilbury's Glowgasm Beauty Light Wand in Peachgasm (expect illumination - and lots of it).

Skincare savants will be all over Caudalie's Resveratrol-Lift Cashmere Fluid which is amazing for bolstering a tired complexion, while the hair conscious will likely be swayed by Sam McKnight's Happy Endings - a tonic for parched, brittle strands.
My only gripe? The packaging. The boxes are flimsy, taking away from what would have otherwise been an all out luxury experience. That said, I do appreciate the brand has to save money somewhere, especially when offering such an impressive mesh of products. All in all this is a clever edit you'll want to get your hands on.'
Mark your diary for September 8th. We predict a sell-out.
