Crazy For Adele’s Lower Lash Situation? Here’s How To Get It

Hello, can you hear me? I'm in California dreaming about...Adele's lower lashes

Adele

Adele is rarely out and about getting snapped by the paps, but she made headlines last week when she got glammed up, rocked a Bardot neckline gown and pouted in a few pics next to Drake. Everything about her look was on point, especially when looked at through a beauty lens. Her hair was polished and styled to perfection, not to mention gleaming. Her skin was glowing like there was no tomorrow, and need we even touch on that immaculate eyeliner?

There was one out-of-the-norm feature though that caught our attention, and we're not talking about that 60s-esque curl of hear next to those Pinterest-worthy earrings. It was her lashes. Adelehas always been a fan of a set of falsies – is any retro beauty look complete without them? But it's been a while since we've seen anyone rock lower lash versions with such Twiggy-esque prowess.

Paired with a slick of pale pink liner across her waterline, Adele wore a set of lower lash false lashes that erred on the spiky rather than the fluttery, and boy did they make an impact. When trying to emulate the look yourself, follow Adele's lead and go for a set spaced out in intervals. Anything spaced too evenly, or that looks too soft will be instantly evocative of those creepy dolls in horror movies. That's not to say a natural set can't work, if you really want to stray away from mascara, but you're better opting for individuals as opposed to strip lashes if it's the barely-there look you're after.

Alternatively, try layering up a volumising mascara and actively encouraging clumps. This will cause lashes to stick together and you'll get a less precise, but similar looking effect when seen from a distance. And don't forget to balance things out with a thick set of upper lashes. This look makes a statement, so keep things bold.

And for the rest of your makeup? Again, make like Adele, and stick to neutral tones. The lashes are the main focus, and as soon as you let anything else compete with that, be it a loud lipstick or bright eyeshadow, the look strays from lustrous to OTT. Got all of that? Fab. Here are a few of our fave falsies.
