She’s a fixture on the nightlife scene, she splits her time between Seattle and Tokyo, she makes cameos in A$AP Rocky’s music videos and she’s been tipped to win LVMH’s prestigious Young Fashion Designer Prize. Now, Yoon Ahn, the lady behind lit jewellery and clothing label Ambush is dipping her toe into the beauty arena.


In collaboration with Shu Uemura, Yoon will produce a 30 product range. So far - from what we can decipher of her cryptic Instagram post - it looks to include both cosmetics and lipsticks for all skin tones. 'I thought that it would be fun to somehow make the packaging look like jewels,’ she explained Women’s Wear Daily, ‘That’s where this gold and metallic theme came about.’ It due to hit the counters come the beginning of April. So, see you there? ‘

Yoon and her husband, the Tokyo-based rapper Verbal, have a fever pitch of critical acclaim following their every move. Together they’ve starred in Louis Vuitton and Doc Martens campaigns and count LV designer Kim Jones, Skepta and Kanye as mates. They founded their label, Ambush, back in 2008 and it quickly caught they industry’s eye with its line of chain linked chokers and oversized necklaces as well as more conceptual pieces, which are favoured by the likes of Rihanna and Lady Gaga.
