If it is the first time you have been out-out in so long and have minimised your products due to this, it is easy to forget how hard it is to keep our makeup and hair in place all night! Here are some super easy tricks.

So we have a solution. Hair tips that’ll survive even the most rigorous dancing sessions. Think of it like waging beauty war on the dreaded club hair.

1. Preparation is key

That sweaty-club frizz can be avoided if – you’re willing to put in a bit of prep.

Living Proof No Frizz Shampoo and Conditioner, £23 each, are pricey but worth it because they’ll lock out moisture without weighing down even fine hair. John Frieda Frizz-Ease Original Serum, £6.99, does what is says on the tin and adds loads of shine too. If you’ve got curls try Redken 2-in-1 Full Swirl Cream, £23. It’s genius.

2. Try wet look hair…

An ideal club solution because it lasts and looks slick not sweaty. Just blow dry clean hair, comb through a small quantity of a wet look gel like Redken Hardwear 16 Super Strong Gel, £13.15, and pull your hair back into a bun on chignon. Simples, see?

3. Or fake messy chic…

Luckily the un-done effect you’ll always kind of ended up with accidentally is big news in beauty right now. Which means there are loads of ace products that’ll help you achieve it. Just spritz a salt treatment like Bumble & Bumble Surf Spray, £22, onto hair lengths and schmoosh (how do you spell this?) – ie, mess around you’re your hair like you just don’t care. Note that vigorous dancing will only enhance the effect.

4. The 99p solution

This isn’t exactly revolutionary but sometimes a humble black cotton hairband can be your best friend in a club. Wear it on your hair line aka the models in the Victoria Beckham show (and yes, it’s strange to be taking club hair tips from her but you know – take them where you can) and then tie back your hair into a high top knot or low ponytail. As we said, not revolutionary but it works.

5. And when disaster strikes at the disco…

Arm yourself with the following handbag sized heroes: Batiste Travel Sized Dry Shampoo, to instantly erase hairline sweats and a compact Tangle Teezer, Could fit into a clutch bag.
