There was an awful lot to take in at Tom Ford's star-studded bonanza of a show in LA this weekend, so we're gonna give ourselves a free pass for not clocking Nicole Richie's new 'do immediately. When there's a FROW that includes Beyonce, Julianne Moore and Reese Witherspoon, you can understand our difficulty when it comes to detail. (Cause like, BEYONCE.) Plus, we kind of feel like every time we see Nicole, her hair is different (she's definitely giving Rihanna a run for her money) so it took us a second or two to notice what she'd done this time.
Nicole's gone for a dramatic pixie crop, the kind that's hard for 80% of the world's population who aren't blessed with killer cheekbones and incredibly delicate features to pull off. That's right, Ms Richie is sticking two fingers up to lob fever and going hardcore when it comes to shedding inches. In her candy pink hue, her hair looks cute and fairy-like, but still manages to have a directional edge to it with that piecey fringe. Oh, and keeping it pink means it definitely ticks the 'conventionally feminine' box.
We love this look on Nicole, but then we also loved her lilac mini-bun. Oh, and her cascading curls from before. OH, and we will still defend her Noughties super-blonde, poker-straight locks, mainly because we loved The Simple Life so much. Rock on, Nicole. Seriously though, how big is this girl's salon bill?
