Margot Robbie’s BAFTA 2020 Hair How-To – And The High Street Buys Used To Style It

Margot's make-up look was understated glamour made real (bravo make-up artist maestro Pati Dubroff), and her hair was a sleek, glossy and timelessly glamorous low bun made casual with thick tendrils set free to frame her face.

Bryce Scarlett was the hairstylist behind this gorgeous look and she's been candid about the products she used to achieve it.

First let's get her take on the look. 'I was inspired by Margot’s very classic and statuesque gown,' says Bryce, 'wanting to compliment it and not compete with it. I felt a simple low knot with a sculpted wave near the face would do just the trick.'

Margot's BAFTA 2020 Hair Look: The Step-By-Step

ONE: 'I started with wet hair. TheTRESemme Keratin Smooth Shampoo, £4.99, andTRESemme Keratin Smooth Conditioner, £4.99, is a great first step to achieving, silky smooth hair for this look.'

TWO: 'Then I applied a dime size amount of the TRESemme Keratin Smooth Heat Protect Spray, £5.99, brushing through with a detangling brush.'

THREE: 'I blew the hair out with a two inch bore bristle brush aiming for very smooth hair with just a bit of volume at the crown.'

FOUR: 'Creating a clean centre parting I teased a small amount at the crown and sprayed the teasing with the TRESemme Freeze Hold Hairspray, £4.99. '

FIVE: 'Then, with a flat iron, I very gently bent into the hair creating natural looking waves. I used a fine spray to tousle through the waves creating some texture and hold to them, very carefully creating the wave near the face that I knew I would be leaving down prominently.'

SIX: 'Once I was happy with the shape of that piece I set it in small flat clips to protect it as I formed the rest of the hair in to a low small knot on the back of the neck, securing with hair pins and spraying the whole look in place with TRESemme Extra Hold Hairspray, £4.99.'
