Beauty junkies, the future is here, and it's oh-so sparkly. Strip lashes are now a thing of the past, because they've been upgraded into flashing, interactive LED falsies that are guaranteed to make your eyes pop.

The latest invention by designer Tien Pham, dubbed '

', was debuted at Maker Faire, much to the internet's excitement. His colour-changing LED eyelashes, which are perfect for festival season, are set to be a big hit with beauty lovers and Instagram addicts.

The lashes can be attached to your eyelids with regular glue, and are powered by a small battery that's attached to your head using hair clips. Two near-invisible wires connect the battery to the lashes, and once on, they last for about 4 hours. Pham stated that 'as long as you don't cut or break the connections, you can reuse them as often as you want.'

Interestingly, these sweat-proof lashes have different settings, including a dance mode (aka every raver's dream), and a sparkle mode for when you want to look like a princess IRL. They will be available in pink, red blue, light blue, white, yellow and green, so you really can match them to any outfit. Plus, they apparently react to your movements, so when you dance, jump, or turn your head, the LED pattern changes!

In terms of pricing, Pham has said 'I'm still doing the calculations, but I am going to keep the price as low as possible because I really just want people to have these.' Currently, the lashes aren't available to buy, but a Kickstarter campaign will be launched in July, so you could potentially be able to get your hands on a pair this summer. What a time to be alive.
