Leave it to Larry King to throw the doors open to the latest hair hotspot in London. Best known for his devil-may-care flair and A-list clientele (he counts the likes of David Gandy and Pixie Lott as fast friends and devoted regulars), this new Marylebone outpost is King's third London salon. Following the success of his iconic Notting Hill and South Kensington salons, it was perhaps inevitable that Fitzrovia would play home to his next big venture. Marylebone was where King's love story began with wife and business partner Laura.

'Marylebone has always been close to our hearts,' says King, 'it's where I met Laura, where we've shared so many wonderful memories, and now it's where we get to give back to the community with a space we hope everyone will love as much as we do.'

And there's a lot to love. Forget your usual main floor and back wash situation, Larry King's Marylebone salon has taken a holistic approach to service. There's a bar downstairs, for example, where guests (or ever patient plus ones) can unwind with a cocktail or two. Far from being booted out of the door as soon as you're done with your blow-dry, this is spot muddles five star haircare with hospitality.

As for the surroundings, expert all the sleek modernity King exhibits in his highly acclaimed product line set alongside a deferential nod to the historical - an original 18th-century apothecary unit acts as the salon's centrepiece. Around it sit workstations made from reclaimed materials, wood flooring that speaks to the elegant history and heart of Marylebone and there's a bespoke photo booth station. Where better to immortalise the final results of your Larry King hair appointment?
