Headed to Glastonbury next week? Yeah yeah, lucky you. Here’s how to make sure all your need to worry about is what food isn’t going to sweat after four days in a tent (clue: cereal bars are your friend) – and not your hair.
In our latest Lazy Girl Beauty Guide we’ve teamed up with Zoe London to bring you the definitive GIF guide to how to get curly hair under control when you’re living in a tent and only have dry shampoo and kirby grips with you. It is possible. This look is perfect for those with curly hair, or for a final-day style when the original texture of your hair is a distant memory.
Here are your 3 steps:
-
The first step, as ever, is to spray on some dry shampoo. (We used Dry Shampoo, £7.62 Fudge). This is going to help keep your flower clips stuck firmly in place. If your hair isn’t naturally voluminous, add a texturising powder like Give Me Texture Oomph Powder, £3.41, V05 at Boots, at the roots.
-
Once your hair is suitably large, grab a load of bobby pins and start twisting and pinning back your hair. Zoe began by taking two sections at the top of her head and tying them back into a low beehive, then securing the rest into a mussed up bun.
-
Next, spritz some dry shampoo onto the crown of your head, and tease some of the hair out with your fingers to create a relaxed, undone look.
Now for the flowers. (We used some Flower Hair Slides, £18 Orelia). Pin these in freely around your hair. Try to avoid symmetry – you don’t want it to look too formal. Finish off with a generous spritz of Bed Head Hard Head Hairspray, £10.95 Tigi at Look Fantastic.
Denim Jacket In Pink Mottled Wash, £42, ASOS and Lame Denim School Bag, £48, American Apparel worn throughout.
