Who would have known that Jamie Laing could prove himself a fountain of hair knowledge? Jamie Laing is a Jack of a great many trades it's true. If you walk down the sweet aisle nowadays without grabbing a bag of Candy Kittens did it even happen? He's still keeping the masses entertained on Made In Chelsea and this year he's even taking to the dance floor in Strictly Come Dancing, but in case you weren't aware, he can teach us a thing or two about blonde haircare too.
In Fudge Professional's YouTube regular In The Chair with renowned hair stylist Jonathan Andrew, Jamie takes to the hot seat to talk all things hair, and it's clear his knowledge extends way beyong lather, rinse, repeat. When Jonathan teasingly asks whether Jamie's hair colour is natural, Jamie replies 'It's totally natural', before coming clean a minute or two later saying 'It's not real!'. At first Jamie confesses he took little interest in really caring for his hair. 'As a guy I never really focused on keeping my hair good', he says, 'I'd bleach it all the time, but now I realise it's important.' Jamie notes 'first of all there's the damage and secondly you have to content with that really yellow colour. I've been usingFudge Professional Clean Blonde Violet Toning Shampoo 250ml, £14, for ages though and that clears it up a lot. It wipes all the yellow colour away and you go out feeling fresh. Otherwise you feel a bit like a traffic light!', stuch on amber we presume!

We're taking that blonde haircare recommendation from Jamie and running with it.
Jamie's hair has hit headlines for other reasons too, and that's to do with his very open journey through hair transplants. 'I'll be totally transparent', says Jamie, 'I thought a hair transplant was just going to be like a tattoo, but it's intense! It was 8 hours sitting in a chair just to put the front but in, and then you have months of wearing a hat.' So why has Jamie been so open about a subject that's ordinarily kept under wraps? 'We're in this climate where people don't talk about things, especially guys' says Jamie, 'and guys worry so much about losing hair. Why do we get hair everywhere else? Nose, chest, face, and yet it falls off the place you really want it to stay?!' Needless to say the fact that Jamie has been vocal about his hair transplant experience has more than eased the same route for others. Bravo that man.
It's worth noting though that Jamie was prompted to broach the subject on Made In Chelsea a little earlier than he had originally anticipated. 'My agency got emaled saying that a very big newspaper had pictures of my hair transplant. I thought "this is horrendous!" so I went to Made In Chelsea and said, I've had a hair transplant, let's talk about it on the show, so that it wasn't a story. Turns out the email to my agency was nothing to do with the media, it was my friend Rodney playing a joke, he said he was from The Sun!'. Wow. With friends like that right?! The upshot though, was a candid insight into the process, and one that many the UK over are likely more than grateful for.
