This week, our hairspiration mainly comes from two camps. Team Polished, who were rocking super-sleek locks a la Jessie J and Jessica Alba, or Team Tousled, who still plumped for the ever popular undone look, like Drew Barrymore and Alessandra Ambrosio. Drew is an original beauty crush of ours - our hearts have been racing since the 90s - and she's always aced the whole slightly mussed-up, unkempt vibe. This season, we'll be trying it like so many stylists backstage and in salons - by creating curls with a tong that we then pull loose or scrunch with a little texturising spray. Never underestimate the power of a tong, as it's not just for creating perfect ringlets. The new breed on the market can help create a whole host of textured 'dos.

Tousled, waved and totally sexy, this is miles away from her Victoria's Secret Look but still sexy.

A long-standing hairspiration, we heart Drew's beachy waves. So glossy, too.

Bardot-perfect with this sultry but sophisticated low pony.

Matchless elegance yet still youthful: a big, slightly unkempt bun perfectly partners Kate's evening look.

Making a case for dip-dye still, Jessica's rocklng a seriously sleek ombre.

Mixing her hair up almost as often as Rihanna, Jessie's locks are flat-ironed and slick.

On the other hand, Jessie and Jessica make a strong case for us to want to reach for our flat irons. With mirror-like shine and enviable sleekness, their dos are powerful and polished. A look perhaps better suited to those of us not prone to humidity-related disasters, if you've naturally straight-ish hair, go for broke and try this style. Do with squeaky-clean, just-washed hair, as this look benefits from a really smooth edge. Whose hair is your favourite this week?
