Slowly, but surely, Glossier is taking over our beauty cabinet…one millennial pink product at a time. The latest item comes with zero hype, just an announcement that will surely change your beauty routine from here on out.

What does Glossier solution promise to do?

Dubbed ‘Solution’ it’s essentially an exfoliator, but with magic powers. For the last 15 months, the brains at Glossier have been formulating this spot-killing, pore-minimising, tone-balancing, texture-smoothing wonder product.

Unlike scrub exfoliators, Solution sloughs dead skin cells away through a chemical reaction that breaks the bonds that glue the dead cells to the epidermis. As a welcome by-product, it also makes the skin look smoother, feel softer, appear more radiant, absorb products more effectively and help makeup go on smoother. If used daily it’s been proven to reduce pore size and spots. ‘I can see it being a great product for acne-prone and oily skin as well as anyone looking to improve texture and tone, tighten pores, and brighten skin’, explains Dr Sejal Shah from Smarter Skin Dermatology. It’s a win-win.

What are the ingredients of Glossier solution?

It’s the mixture of active acids that make this product so special. Combining AHA (Alpha Hydroxy Acid, which exfoliates) with BHA (Beta Hydroxy Acid, which unclogs pores) and PHA (Polyhydroxy Acid, which makes the formula gentle to the skin) makes this a three-pronged attack on dead skin and dirty pores. There’s also a drop of Lactic Acid in there to reduce blemishes, Glycol Acid to brighten and a combination of destressing ingredients like pure aloe and glycerin to hydrate and calm the complexion.

Is it suitable for sensitive skin?

As its hypoallergenic, dermatologist-tested and paraben free it’s suitable for everyone.

Does Glossier solution actually work?

Celebrity facials Nicola Joss is already a fan, she said: ‘I am a huge fan of liquid exfoliators, and therefore I’ve tried many. I will say I loved using this product. I found it helped to refine my pores and keep my skin looking fresh and soft.’

Where can I buy Glossier solution?
