Florence Pugh is never one to shy away from making a statement at a red carpet event. You only have to look to her now renowned 'bangs and fans' look from this year's BAFTAs. The latest Met Gala was no exception either. Taking to the striped carpet in front of New York City's Metropolitan Museum of Art, Florence wore Valentino - fitting considering she's just been announced as the new face of the fashion house. She stood arm-in-arm with Valentino's creative director Pierpaolo Piccioli, blinking into the onslaught of camera flashes that ensued once photographers realised that they were witnessing the first reveal of a brand new hair look.

Why did Florence Pugh shave her head?
If you're asking yourself 'Why did Florence Pugh cut her hair?' we have the answers.
During an interview on the red carpet, Florence revealed she shaved her head for her upcoming film, We Live In Time. 'I thought, what is a better way than to release it at The Met with Pier Paolo'.
Pugh also told the interviewers, she's actually had it for 'about three weeks now.' She added: 'I’m very happy to have it here with this look, it makes everything perfect.'
And the hair stylist behind the new hair cut - Peter Lux - called Florence 'divine'.
Florence's go-to pro Alex Babsky posted about the look, with a caption that read simply 'FLORENCE!'. Fans are just as obsessed with her new cut, one comment read, 'you suit absolutely everything' - and we agree. This is in fact Florence Pugh's first Met Gala and we can't wait what she pulls out the bag next year.
