Easy Plaits You Can Do Before A Party

One of the biggest party nights of the year is coming up, not that you needed us to remind you that New Year’s Eve is just days away. As underwhelming as it usually is, it’s impossible not to find yourself falling into the rigmarole of worrying where to go, what to wear and how the heck to fix your mane before the big event. With so much on your mind, let us help you sort out one aspect: your hair. Here are three easy failsafe plaits courtesy of Hollie Hobin that are like rehab for tired, over-heated hair:

1. Party Plaits Tutorial

**Step 1. **Part you hair down the centre and apply John Frieda Sheer Blonde Boost Mousse Styling Foam to roots and lengths of hair.

**Step 2. **Take three small sections of hair and start plaiting by crossing the strands of hair under one another. Pick up pieces of hair and add this into the plait every time you cross a strand over.

Step 3. Using a clear elastic band, secure your hair at the nape of your neck.

**Step 4. **Carefully pull out pieces of the plait to create volume.

Step 5. Take a section of hair from the ponytail and wrap this around your clear elastic, secure in place with a hair slide.

Step 6. Fix everything in place using John Frieda Sheer Blonde Crystal Clear Hairspray.

2. Fishtail Plait Tutorial

Step 1. Create two plaits, start by taking three small sections of hair and crossing the strands under each other. Keep adding pieces of hair to the plaits until you reach the nape of your neck and tie off.

**Step 2. **Fishtail braid the rest of hair by parting the ponytail into two sections, take a piece of hair from section one and cross this underneath to add it to section two. Then take a piece of hair from the second section and cross it under the first. Repeat until half way down your ponytail and tie off.

**Step 3. **Pull out pieces of hair for a more undone, effortless look.

**Step 4. **Finish with John Frieda Sheer Blonde Hi Impact Vibrancy Restoring Oil Elixir to leave your ends looking glossy.
