At this point, I’m about a year deep into my hair growth journey. Consider me loyal to #HairTok, the corner of the Internet where devotees wax lyrical about the products responsible for their long, glossy strands. Of course, not all are made equal. I should know. I've tested a myriad of masks, oils and serums, all claiming to be the best of the best. One, however, has stood out above the rest, transforming my hair from dry and dull, to silky and weightlessly soft. Enter the Shiseido Fino Premium Touch Hair Mask, which is already a cult-classic in Japan. And, good news as it's discounted in the Amazon Spring Sale. Scroll on for my full review.

One amazon reviewer said: 'The Premium Fino Mask has been a game-changer for my dry hair. It provides deep hydration, leaving my hair feeling soft, smooth, and more manageable. The texture is rich but not too heavy, and it absorbs well without making my hair greasy. After using it, my hair looks shinier and feels healthier. The scent is also lovely and lasts a while. Definitely a must-have if you need intense moisture and nourishment!.

Our review

Rachael Martin, beauty editor, says:

'I was incredibly excited to get my hands on this one - the reviews are consistently excellent with fans professing their love for the stuff. From the moment I twisted open the lid, I had high hopes. The texture is creamy and rich (without feeling tacky or heavy) and the scent is delicious - think sweet yet sophisticated floral notes that really stick around.

'After washing and conditioning my hair I took a sizeable dollop and dispersed it through my lengths and ends. I then gently combed through to ensure each and every strand was coated. The instructions say to leave it on for five minutes, but I followed the advice of TikTok and went for twenty minutes to let the formula really get to work. Even before rinsing, I could tell the difference - my hair felt slippery, with less tangles. One reviewer likened it to 'liquid silk,' and I'm inclined to agree.

'After twenty minutes (an excellent excuse for a full-body shave) I rinsed my hair, ensuring I had taking adequate time to remove all of the mask. It wasn't until blowdrying that I truly appreciated the difference. My hair felt feather-light and beautifully soft, without the tacky residue that other hair masks can leave behind. Frizz and dryness were banished, leaving my hair looking smooth and polished - all before I'd had a chance to go in with any tonging. The magic lies in the formulation. There's royal jelly, lipidure and PCA in there, ingredients well known for their ability to deeply penetrate hair from the inside out. The result is a cuticle that sits flat to the surface of each strand, aiding that smooth, silky finish that can be so hard to achieve otherwise.

'The colour of my hair looked considerably brighter and fresher, too. The below picture was taken on the same day, but the clarity in the tone of my blonde is immediately apparent. It's impressive stuff.

Final thoughts

'It's a beauty bargain that has truly transformed my dry, damaged hair. When I need a little (or a lot) of TLC, this is the one I'll be reaching for. Thanks #HairTok, you've done it again.'
