You've got your tickets, your bum-bag and wellies are packed and your tent is ready. You're pretty much festival ready apart from one vital component: your make-up. And you're stumped. Taking your old faithfuls is just a bit, well, boring isn't it? If there's ever a time to mix it up a bit, it's now and it doesn't need to take 53 products and a vanity table to create them. Nope.
We teamed up with make-up artist Lucy Pearson to give you five make-up looks using only five products (not including the standard ones you'd take anyway) so you won't be weighed down with tons of products.
This is what you'll need on top of your normal base, black kohl, black liquid liner and, if you want to go all out, an eyeshadow brush.
All available at Boots.com.
1. 60's Eye
-
Map out where your accent lashes are going to go using black kohl like the Maybelline Color Show Eye Kohl Ultra Liner in Ultra Black, £2.99, to make dots. Once you have your symmetry sorted (you're in a tent so it might not be the neatest but that's OK) adding the liquid lashes will be much easier.
-
Use a the black liquid liner like the Sleek MakeUp Dip It Eyeliner in Black, £4.99, to mark out your lashes. These can be any size and length you like – it just depends on how much you're feeling the 60's vibe.
-
Time to add some colour with a bright eyeliner. We used No7 Stay Precise Liquid Eyeliner in Mermaid, £7.50 which is super pigmented and does not budge. Lengthen the outer lashes for a more colourful twist on the classic look.
2. Blue Blowout Eye
-
Apply the Maybelline 24hr Color Tattoo in Turqoise Forever, £4.99 all over the lid up and take it up to socket. Use a brush if you have one – we used the Eye Shading Brush from the EcoTools Bamboo 6 Piece Brush Set, £15.99.
-
You want to make this super blue so pat Seventeen Eyeshadow Mono in Viva Diva, £3.89 over the top. You then want to gently buff the blue outwards. If you have a blending brush like the NYX Pro Brush 17, £8.50, or any other brush, use that. If not, use your finger to blend instead.
-
Take more of the Maybelline 24hr Color Tattoo in Turqoise Forever, £4.99 under the eye and blend up.
3. The Rainbow Eye
-
Take the Barry M Bold Waterproof Eyeliner in Gold, £3.99 and colour in the space above and below the iris (right in the centre of the eye).
-
Apply Maybelline 24hr Color Tattoo in Turqoise Forever, £4.99 on the outer corners of the eye using the EcoTools Eye Shading Brush, £15.99 as part of a pack, if you have one, and blend into a winged shape with a brush or your finger.
-
Use Collection Glam Crystals Dazzling Gel Liner in Hustle, £2.99 and draw delicately in the inner corners of the eye.
-
Add a bit more oomph using the No7 Stay Precise Liquid Eyeliner in Mermaid, £7.50 to draw a wing on the upper lash line.
4. Punk Graphic Eye
-
Mark out your shape with a kohl pencil like Maybelline Color Show Eye Kohl Ultra Liner in Ultra Black, £2.99.
-
Once you've got your symmetry (top tip: keep your eyes open whilst you draw it, it'll help!) go over the line with a black liquid liner like the Sleek MakeUp Dip It Eyeliner in Black, £4.99.
-
Fill in the over-sized wing with glitter like Collection Glam Crystals Dazzling Gel Liner in Hustle, £2.99. Let one layer dry then go over it again for maximum impact.
5. Black and Gold Eye
-
Take the Barry M Bold Waterproof Eyeliner in Gold, £3.99 all over the lid. If you want it extra gold, and you've got extra space in your bag, put gold eyeshadow like Max Factor Wild Eyeshadow Pot in Golden Amazon, £4.99 over the top.
-
Draw under the eye with Maybelline Color Show Eye Kohl Ultra Liner in Ultra Black, £2.99.
-
Draw right into your water line with the kohl and blur it in with the line under the eye – you could use a cotton bud to do this.
