This Perfume Is So Good, I Get Stopped On The Street Every Time I Wear It — Here’s Why It’s So Addictive

Described as a floral amber with white flowers and fruity notes, this is the ultimate signature perfume.

Creed of Silk

When it comes to fragrances, I have dabbled in dozens. From my sickly sweet Britney Spears Fantasy encased in a pink Swarovski studded bottle (age 15) to Charlotte Tilbury's More Sex which is perfect for date night and the royal-approved Jo Malone English Pear & Freesia, I have a bottle of perfume primed for every mood and occasion.

Nothing makes you feel like you have your life together than a high-end signature scent, but finding 'the one' can be a lifetime's work. For my new fragrance, I wanted something with a sophisticated scent profile, that smells addictively good, so much so that you're followed down the cheese aisle by someone desperate to know what perfume you have on (true story). A perfume low-key enough to create intrigue and mystery, but something that still conveys quiet luxury. Was I asking for too much? Possibly, but I'm delighted to say that I finally found it - and then some.

Introducing, possibly the most sublime fragrance of all time: Creed's Queen of Silk. At £260, it's not cheap, but it's everything you could want in a luxury fragrance. Housed in a rich purple bottle that exudes royalty, it is elegant and sophisticated with unmatched staying power that lingers even after a shower. It's subtly sexy thanks to weaving notes of Chinese osmanthus, Javanese patchouli and Madagascan vanilla. It dries down beautifully and radiates a delicate softness reminiscent of silk. It's addictive, feminine, and familiar, but somehow, it's like nothing I've ever smelled before.

I treated myself to a bottle in August and every time I wear it, I get inundated with compliments. My biggest bugbear with fragrance is lack of projection and scents that seem to evaporate before your 10am meeting, but Creed's cult scent lingers all day long. If you also enjoy musky oriental floral scents amped with plenty of creamy amber, you will adore Creed's Queen of Silk. Trust me when I say, it makes you feel like royalty.
